There are different management styles for different types of innovation.
All business strategies do not necessarily have to adopt the same type of innovation management. Preferably, it would be done according to the innovations required and the sectors of activity concerned.
Open innovation
It consists of thinking of your innovation as an open and non-confidential process, which also includes stakeholders outside the innovation department.
Incremental innovation
Incremental innovation is a mode of innovation that consists of innovating gradually, i.e. developing a service or a product, but without radically changing its fundamental characteristics. The objective is to improve the offer that already exists.
Sustainable innovation
Sustainable innovation consists of innovating in its product and service offering, while taking into account sustainability issues. For example, offering a product with more recycled materials, rethinking the company's value chain in a context of sustainable development, etc.
Disruptive innovation
The notion of disruptive innovation is often associated with disruptive technology. It aims to replace a dominant technology on the market. For example, innovating to offer expensive and niche service at more advantageous prices to as many people as possible.
